Comments on: Network Management using Nagios

As with ylu. I followed your steps but when I get to : sudo /usr/local/httpd/bin/apachectl restart I get response
Syntax error on line 18 of /usr/local/httpd/conf/nagios.cfg:
Invalid command ‘log_file=/usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log’, perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration.

Any suggestions?

I follow the steps you provided. But finally I get error message from restart httpd
invalid command like log_file etc

Would you help me out for it?

Hi, great tutorial!!!
I have Nagios configured ad works fine for localhost. I would like to add devices to monitor. Can I do it with the web interface or do I have to configure new devices manually? How is it done?

I liked your site. and Learned much from it.
Did a lot too.
Now one thing you are missing is where is MAIL Server configuration.
I found you did most of your how to’s based on dabin using apt-get for installation…
Why not you try from source it will be easier to others….

I am waiting your How to’s on Qmail for SMTP+ POP+SPAM-ASSIGN+CLAM-AV antivirus integration along with others requirements as you know like auto responder, Qmail admin, Squerrel mail, Vhosts, etc. etc…

Hope to get it soon in your site…
